The Golf Fiji-sponsored Junior Open is set to take place this Saturday at the Novotel Golf Course, where young golfers will have the chance to excel in three distinct age divisions. Participants will compete in U10, U13, and U18 categories, providing an ideal platform for junior players to demonstrate their abilities in a competitive stroke play format.

Players aged nine and below will partake in five holes, while those between 10 and 12 years will play nine holes. Meanwhile, golfers aged 13 to 17 will tackle the complete 18-hole round, ensuring a challenging day for all participants.

Amitesh Chandra, the president of Golf Fiji, expressed excitement about the upcoming event, stating, “We are looking forward to an exciting event and it will be a good day.”

This Junior Open not only highlights the talent within the sport but also aligns with Golf Fiji’s commitment to developing young players. The tournament aims to foster discipline, sportsmanship, and confidence on the course while giving junior athletes the experience of competing at a higher level.
