Lami and Nasinu made a significant comeback on the second day of the 2024 Extra Supermarket Futsal Inter District Championship (IDC) at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, showcasing their determination to keep their semifinal aspirations alive. After a tough start, Lami rebounded from their narrow 4-3 loss against Nadi, dominating Labasa with an impressive 8-1 victory.
Meanwhile, Nasinu also turned their fortunes around after suffering an 8-0 defeat to the reigning champions Suva. They bounced back in remarkable fashion, pulling off a 6-2 upset win against a talented Ba team.
In other matches on Day 2, Suva and Lautoka continued their strong performances, both securing their second consecutive wins. Lautoka narrowly defeated their rivals Nadi 5-3, while Suva delivered an overwhelming performance, crushing Savusavu 10-1.
Unfortunately, Labasa and Savusavu have been eliminated from semifinal contention after two losses in a row.
