Pacific Energy is launching a charitable initiative by placing collection bins, supplied by Atpack Fiji Ltd, at eight strategically chosen service station locations throughout Fiji. This effort, in collaboration with the Pacific Recycling Foundation, is aimed at supporting a Christmas gift and stationery drive for the children of families participating in the Collection Pillars of Recycling (CPR) program.

The CPR initiative focuses on aiding families who gather recyclables from dump sites and public areas, often under difficult circumstances. These families play a crucial role in Fiji’s recycling and waste management systems, significantly contributing to environmental sustainability efforts.

Stephane Cadel, CEO of Pacific Energy, expressed pride in continuing the partnership with the Pacific Recycling Foundation for the second consecutive year. “This year, we are expanding our reach by providing collection bins at eight of our service stations, giving customers the opportunity to donate and support the children of these hardworking families,” he stated.

The drive aims to spread holiday cheer and provide essential school supplies to children who might otherwise lack access to such necessities. Cadel emphasized the importance of community values, stating, “At Pacific Energy, we understand that true partnership goes beyond just business — it’s about shared values and community.” He added that the company’s success is intricately linked to the wellbeing of the communities they serve.

The collection bins will be available at Pacific Energy service stations in Nabua, Kinoya, Nausori, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba. Donations will be accepted until Wednesday, December 4, which marks the final day for drop-offs.

This initiative highlights the spirit of giving during the holiday season, fostering community support and emphasizing the importance of collaboration to uplift those in need. It serves as a reminder of the powerful impact that local businesses can have on their communities, promoting a culture of generosity and caring.
