Pacific Energy has officially inaugurated its new service station in Denarau, marking a significant step in its expansion efforts in the thriving Nadi area. This $3 million investment responds to the growing demand for fuel and related services in this popular tourist hub, while also aiming to support the local community.
CEO of Pacific Energy, Stephane Cadel, highlighted the importance of this new station, noting it enhances the company’s footprint in Nadi, making it the third Pacific Energy Service Station in the vicinity. Cadel expressed excitement about the station’s strategic location, which offers convenient access as “it sits at the gateway to Denarau.”
Property owner Babu Ganesh, who has a strong connection to the area and established his family business in Navua in 2001, expressed his pride in this venture. “I am very happy and very proud of what we have achieved. Having grown up in Narewa, I always wanted to do something meaningful for our people,” he stated, showcasing his commitment to community development.
The service station has been thoughtfully positioned to serve vehicles heading to and from Denarau Island, while also offering essential services to surrounding communities. Tui Nadi, Ratu Vuniyani Navunina, noted that the new station enhances accessibility for drivers, contributing to job creation for local residents.
Future plans for the site include the construction of a shopping center, which aims to further stimulate local businesses and foster community growth. This aligns with ongoing initiatives to boost economic development in Nadi, which has already seen substantial investments, including the anticipated Vuvale Plaza project. This new plaza is expected to provide additional retail and dining opportunities.
Overall, the launch of the Pacific Energy service station, paired with projected future developments, represents a positive stride toward the economic revitalization of Nadi, promising significant advantages for both residents and the influx of tourists visiting the area.
