Pacific Energy has officially launched its new service station in Denarau as part of a significant business expansion in the bustling area of Nadi. The $3 million investment aims to cater to the increasing demand for fuel and associated services within this popular tourism destination, while also providing support for the local community.
Stephane Cadel, CEO of Pacific Energy, emphasized that this new site enhances the company’s presence in Nadi, making it the third Pacific Energy Service Station in the area. He expressed enthusiasm about the station’s location, stating, “It sits at the gateway to Denarau.”
Property owner Babu Ganesh, who has deep ties to the region and founded his family business in Navua back in 2001, shared his pride in the project. “I am very happy and very proud of what we have achieved. Having grown up in Narewa, I always wanted to do something meaningful for our people,” he remarked.
The service station is strategically positioned to serve vehicles traveling to and from Denarau Island, while also offering essential services to adjacent communities. Tui Nadi, Ratu Vuniyani Navunina, indicated that the new station not only improves accessibility for vehicles but also generates job opportunities for locals.
Looking ahead, plans for the site include the addition of a shopping center, which is intended to further stimulate local business and contribute to community growth. This is in line with ongoing efforts to bolster economic development in Nadi, a region already enriched by recent investments, such as the upcoming Vuvale Plaza, which is expected to bring more retail and dining options to the area.
Overall, the launch of the Pacific Energy service station, combined with projected future developments, signifies a hopeful momentum toward economic vitality in Nadi, promising benefits for both residents and tourists alike.
