The recent inauguration of the new Pacific Energy service station in Nadi reflects ongoing efforts to foster economic development through mutually beneficial partnerships with local landowners. Tui Nadi Ratu Vuniyani Navuniuci emphasized the significance of such collaborations during the opening event, highlighting the contributions from investors like Babu Ganesh and Pacific Energy.

“This investment has been made possible by those who believe in our district and our people,” he stated, underscoring the role of the service station in enhancing accessibility for vehicles and creating job opportunities for local communities. Ratu Vuniyani noted that the new setup would particularly benefit those less fortunate, facilitating better access to services.

Stephane Cadel, CEO of Pacific Energy, described the service station as more than just an economic investment; it is aligned with the company’s commitment to community support. “Pacific Energy takes pride in its community-focused investments in Fiji,” he stated, fortifying the company’s slogan, “We Are Who You Are.” The new station marks the third Pacific Energy location in Nadi, with further plans for expansion in the region.

Property owner Babu Ganesh expressed pride in bringing the nearly $3 million investment to fruition, which not only enhances fuel access but is also indicative of broader community development efforts. Similarly, Rajeev Prasad, managing director of the 24/7 service station, shared his aspirations for the future, revealing a strong vision for growth.

Additionally, an exciting event occurred on the same day of the opening, with the final draw for a Nissan Navara set to be held at the service station, further engaging the community.

This development not only enhances accessibility and employment in the Nadi region but also stands as a testament to the potential of partnerships in driving local economic growth. The initiative exemplifies a hopeful narrative for the future, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between businesses and communities in achieving collective success.
