The prices of unleaded fuel, diesel, and premix fuel have experienced a decline as of today. Starting on the first of the month, the price of kerosene has dropped from $1.79 to $1.67 per litre. Unleaded fuel is now priced at $2.62 per litre, down from $2.73, while diesel has been reduced to $2.18 per litre. The price of premix fuel has also decreased from $2.55 to $2.43 per litre.
In contrast, the price of a 4.5kg gas cylinder has risen from $14.80 to $14.97, and a 12kg cylinder is now priced at $39.91.
Joel Abraham, the CEO of the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC), emphasizes that ensuring affordability for Fijian families is a primary focus of their efforts. He points out that these recent price adjustments illustrate the FCCC’s commitment to protecting consumers from the impacts of global market fluctuations.
