The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has announced an increase in the prices of key fuels, which will take effect soon. The price of unleaded fuel will rise by 9 cents, bringing it to $2.78 per litre. Diesel will see an increase of 12 cents, bringing the total to $2.45 per litre, while kerosene will go up by 7 cents to $1.87 per litre. Additionally, the cost of premix fuel will rise by 6 cents, setting its new price at $2.59 per litre.
Conversely, the price of gas will experience a slight decline; a 4.5kg cylinder will now cost $15.54, decreasing by 24 cents. A 12kg gas cylinder will cost $41.44, and autogas will be priced at $2.25 per litre.
These pricing changes are a reflection of global market conditions, influenced by fluctuations in the Means of Platts Singapore, international shipping rates, and foreign exchange variations.
