The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has announced new fuel and LPG prices that took effect today, following the latest monthly review. The adjustments reflect the fluctuations in international refined fuel prices and other market dynamics as of June 2025.
Motorists will experience a slight increase in the cost of fuel. Unleaded Petrol has risen by 3 cents, now priced at $2.61 per litre. Similarly, Premix fuel sees an increase of 4 cents, bringing the price to $2.45 per litre. Diesel prices have surged by 8 cents, reaching $2.23 per litre, while Kerosene, which remains exempt from VAT, has increased by 9 cents to $1.72, marking a significant percentage rise of 5.52%.
On a more positive note, LPG prices have seen a decrease across the board. The cost of a 4.5 kg LPG cylinder has dropped by 21 cents to $14.70, and the 12 kg cylinder now costs $39.19, down by 58 cents. Bulk LPG prices have also decreased to $3.02 per kg, while Autogas will now be available for $2.08 per litre, reflecting a 7-cent reduction.
The FCCC emphasizes that these price changes are in response to international market trends and will continue monitoring global prices to ensure timely adjustments. This proactive approach aims to safeguard consumer interests and maintain fair pricing in Fiji’s fuel market, providing hope for future stability in energy costs.
