Starting January 1, 2025, consumers will face higher prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) products, diesel, and kerosene. The cost of a 4.5 kg cylinder of gas will rise by 18 cents to $15.53, while the 12 kg cylinder will see an increase of 50 cents, bringing its price to $41.42.

In bulk sales, gas prices will go up by four cents, now costing $3.20 per kg, and the price of autogas will increase by three cents to $2.25 per litre. Both diesel and kerosene will also experience a price hike of four cents per litre, with diesel now priced at $2.31 and kerosene at $1.78. However, the prices for motor spirit and premix will remain stable at $2.67 per litre and $2.51 per litre, respectively.

These price adjustments highlight the ongoing fluctuations in the energy market, which can be attributed to various factors, including supply chain issues and global market trends. While these increases may create short-term challenges for consumers, it’s worth noting that fluctuations can also present opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and the exploration of alternative energy sources in the future.
