Fuel Prices Set to Drop: What You Need to Know!

Spread the love

Fuel prices are set to decrease by a few cents starting tomorrow, according to the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC). The commission has announced new regulated prices for Unleaded Petrol (Motor Spirit), Premix, Kerosene, Diesel, and LPG products for October 2024.

The new prices will take effect on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. The FCCC clarified that the announced prices represent maximum wholesale and retail prices, allowing wholesalers and retailers to sell the refined fuels and LPG products at or below these prices. Compliance checks will be conducted by inspectors in the coming weeks.

Consumers are encouraged to report any unfair trading practices, such as hoarding or overcharging, to the FCCC enforcement teams. Reports can be made via mobile phone at 8921991 or through email at helpdesk@fccc.gov.fj. Additionally, regional offices in the Western Division and Northern Division can be reached at mobile numbers 8911623 and 8911624, respectively.
