Fuel prices are set to decrease by a few cents starting tomorrow. The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has announced new regulated prices for Unleaded Petrol (Motor Spirit), Premix, Kerosene, Diesel, and LPG products for October 2024.
The updated prices will take effect from Tuesday, October 1, 2024. The Commission clarified that the prices they have released are the maximum allowable wholesale and retail rates, meaning wholesalers and retailers can sell these refined fuel and LPG products at or below the specified prices. Inspectors will be monitoring compliance in the coming weeks.
Consumers are encouraged to report any unfair trading practices, such as hoarding or overcharging, to the FCCC enforcement teams using the mobile number 8921991 or through email at helpdesk@fccc.gov.fj.
