Fuel prices are set to decrease today, marking a positive development for consumers, while the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) products will see a slight increase.
Starting today, diesel prices will hold steady at $2.38 per litre, reflecting a decrease of $0.07. Motor Spirit will also see a reduction, dropping by $0.02 to retail at $2.76 per litre. Premix fuel is now priced at $2.58 per litre, while kerosene will retail for $1.84 per litre, marking a decrease of $0.03.
On the other hand, the price of LPG will rise. A 4.5 kg LPG cylinder will increase from $15.54 to $15.61, and a 12 kg cylinder will sell at $41.63. Additionally, the price of bulk gas will see a minor increase from $3.20 to $3.21 per kg, while autogas will be priced at $2.26 per litre.
This fluctuation in prices reflects ongoing adjustments in the market. While the rise in LPG prices may be a concern, the overall reduction in fuel prices signals relief for many, making transportation more affordable and potentially stimulating economic activity. As consumers save on fuel costs, this could encourage increased mobility and impact the local economy positively.
