Pacific Energy is set to launch a collection initiative in collaboration with Atpack Fiji Ltd, placing donation bins at eight key service station locations across Fiji. This initiative, in partnership with the Pacific Recycling Foundation, is aimed at supporting a Christmas gift and stationery drive that will directly benefit the children of families engaged in the Collection Pillars of Recycling (CPR) program.
The CPR program assists families who collect recyclables from dump sites and public spaces despite facing significant challenges. These families play a crucial role in the recycling and waste management landscape in Fiji, significantly contributing to environmental sustainability efforts.
Stephane Cadel, the CEO of Pacific Energy, expressed pride in partnering with the Pacific Recycling Foundation for the second consecutive year. “This year, we are expanding our reach by providing collection bins at eight of our service stations, giving customers the opportunity to donate and support the children of these hardworking families,” he stated.
The aim of the drive is to bring holiday cheer and essential educational supplies to children who might otherwise lack access to these resources. The collection bins will be placed at Pacific Energy service stations located in Nabua, Kinoya, Nausori, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba. Donations will be accepted until Wednesday, December 4, marking the final day for drop-offs.
