Starting January 1, 2025, the prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) products, diesel, and kerosene will experience an increase. The new price for a 4.5 kg gas cylinder will be $15.53, reflecting an increase of 18 cents from the previous cost of $15.35. Additionally, the price for a 12 kg cylinder will rise by 50 cents, bringing it to $41.42.

Bulk gas will see a slight increase of four cents, now costing $3.20 per kilogram, while the price of autogas will rise by three cents, setting the new rate at $2.25 per liter. Both diesel and kerosene prices will also go up by four cents per liter. The updated price for diesel will be $2.31 per liter, while kerosene will now sell for $1.78 per liter. However, prices for motor spirit and premix will remain steady at $2.67 per liter and $2.51 per liter, respectively.

While these increases may pose challenges for consumers, it’s important to consider that more efficient use of LPG and alternative energy sources could help mitigate some of the financial impact. Moreover, fluctuations in fuel prices are a common occurrence, and markets may adjust over time, potentially leading to more favorable pricing in the future.

In summary, the price adjustments reflect ongoing changes in the energy sector and serve as a reminder for consumers to explore energy-efficient options.
