With over ten years of experience in the tourism and hospitality sector, she has made significant strides in her role as the food and beverage supervisor at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, located on Nadi’s Denarau Island.
Rooted in the village of Namotomoto and connected to Nakabuta, renowned for its beautiful pottery, the 43-year-old mother of four began her journey at Sheraton in 2004 as a temporary waiter at the Verandah Restaurant. Over the years, she has developed her skills, moving to the Wet Edge Restaurant in 2014 where she thrived for five years in the fast-paced food and beverage environment.
The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought unforeseen challenges that temporarily stalled her career, yet her resolve drove her to return in 2022 as a guest service agent. Her dedication was quickly recognized; by 2023, she had ascended from team leader to supervisor. Reflecting on her journey, Ms. Ratudradra considers Sheraton her second home, a nurturing environment that has fostered her personal and professional development.
Her favorite spot at the resort, Sega Na Leqa (SNL), allows her to connect with both guests and colleagues, making her role even more enjoyable. She advocates for embracing challenges as opportunities for growth, encouraging her colleagues to learn, adapt, and uplift one another in their collective journey.
By fostering an environment that celebrates resilience and teamwork, Ms. Ratudradra is not only enhancing her own life but also enriching the experiences of guests at her hotel.
