From Vets to Valor: One Man’s Unexpected Military Journey

Private Anthony Pesamino’s aspirations began with a desire to become a veterinarian. However, the course was no longer available at Fiji National University, leading him to a significant life change. Faced with this setback, he decided to pursue a military career instead.

Initially inexperienced, Private Pesamino embraced the challenge and undertook 18 months of demanding military training at the FTG in Nasinu. This transformative experience reshaped his perspective on life, fostering a sense of discipline that he described as a “game changer.”

Throughout his training, he acquired essential skills, including problem-solving and community engagement, which he claims have opened new doors for him and his family.
