A boxer has made headlines after training with an old tire to prepare for his debut professional match. Vitori Cavalevu used the tire, which was suspended from the roof of his house, as his primary training tool. This unconventional approach showcased his creativity, transforming a simple object into a significant asset for his training.

Cavalevu dedicated hours each day to refine his punching skills, improve his footwork, and boost his stamina. His training regimen gained widespread attention after he shared a video of his preparation leading up to the competition.

Despite the absence of advanced training equipment, his unwavering commitment and hard work bore fruit. He achieved a knockout victory against his opponent, Tevita Sete, in under three minutes. Although he preferred to avoid interviews, Cavalevu’s trainer, Joji Naisua, revealed that at 24 years old, he is primarily a farmer rather than a professional boxer.

Naisua explained that they engaged young men like Cavalevu in boxing to steer them away from illegal activities. He praised Cavalevu’s composure, suggesting it could propel him to the next level in his boxing career. Moving forward, Naisua mentioned plans to involve Cavalevu in additional training activities to enhance his strength and fitness. Cavalevu is open to any challengers for his next fight.
