From Tyre to Triumph: A Boxer’s Unconventional Journey

A boxer prepared for his debut professional match using an unusual training method: an old tyre. Vitori Cavalevu transformed this common item, which hung from the roof of a house, into his main training tool. His creativity allowed him to utilize the tyre effectively for hours each day, focusing on improving his punching technique, footwork, and stamina.

Cavalevu’s training journey drew considerable attention online, especially as he demonstrated that dedication could yield results even without advanced equipment. In an impressive performance, he achieved a knockout victory over his opponent, Tevita Sete, in less than three minutes.

Although Cavalevu was not inclined to speak with the media, his trainer Joji Naisua shared insights about the 24-year-old, who primarily works as a farmer rather than a professional boxer. Naisua explained their motivation for involving young men in boxing was to steer them away from negative influences. He noted Cavalevu’s composure and potential, indicating plans to engage him in additional activities to boost his strength and fitness.

Naisua mentioned that Cavalevu is open to challenges from anyone wanting to fight him next.
