Aman Lal, a determined 22-year-old from Tavua, has successfully completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Fiji’s Lautoka campus. Despite being away from his family for three years, the bright lights of the city did not distract him from his studies. Instead, he drew strength from the support and love of his parents back home.
Graduating on April 4 marked a significant milestone for Lal, who expressed immense gratitude for his family’s sacrifices. “It has been very challenging staying away from my parents and family,” he shared, acknowledging that their support was pivotal in his journey. Lal’s decision to pursue a double major in Information Technology and Tourism reflects his passion for both fields.
Currently employed in the IT department at Kimaya Group, a well-known destination management company in Fiji, Lal is already looking ahead to furthering his education with postgraduate studies. His ambitious mindset mirrors his commitment to personal and professional growth, as he balances work with his educational aspirations.
In offering advice to fellow students, Lal emphasized the importance of patience and hope while navigating life’s challenges. “Don’t lose hope,” he urged, highlighting that resilience is key to achieving one’s dreams.
