Tarfeeha Nuzhat’s dedication to her studies has resulted in remarkable achievements, including being named the Most Outstanding Management Student for 2024 at the University of Fiji’s School of Business and Economics awards ceremony held at the Saweni campus in Lautoka. At just 22 years old, Nuzhat also received two Outstanding Awards in Marketing Management and HR Management.
Currently awaiting graduation with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in English Literary Arts and Management, Nuzhat attributes her success to her family, particularly her parents, stating, “What I have achieved is for them, as without them, I wouldn’t be here today on this platform.” She holds a strong belief in the value of supporting others, sharing the mantra, “Adjusting someone else’s crown can never let yours slip.” Her inspiring message encourages those facing difficulties, urging them to remain resilient, dream big, and maintain patience in the face of adversity.
Nuzhat has emphasized the importance of self-care, advocating for regular breaks to rejuvenate, which has significantly improved her focus and productivity. “These strategies helped me navigate my challenges more effectively and stay positive throughout the process,” she noted.
She also opened up about the emotional struggles of moving from Suva to Lautoka, highlighting the loneliness that came with leaving friends and the life she knew behind, especially as an only child. This transition, combined with the pressure to excel at university, led to many sleepless nights filled with the stress of managing academic commitments.
However, throughout her journey, Nuzhat has learned the virtues of resilience and perseverance, stating, “Each challenge has shaped me, teaching me resilience and the importance of perseverance, even when the journey feels overwhelming.”
