Tarfeeha Nuzhat’s dedication to her studies has truly paid off as she was honored with the title of Most Outstanding Management Student 2024 at the University of Fiji’s School of Business and Economics awards night held at Saweni campus, Lautoka. The 22-year-old not only received this prestigious accolade but also secured two Outstanding Awards in Marketing Management and HR Management.
Nuzhat has completed her Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in English Literary Arts and Management, and is now looking forward to graduation. She attributes her successes to her family, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their support throughout her journey. “What I have achieved is for them, as without them, I wouldn’t be here today on this platform,” she remarked.
Her inspiring words reflect a positive outlook on life: “I believe in clapping for others, confident that my turn will come.” She encourages those facing struggles to persevere, reminding them that life consists of setbacks and comebacks, urging them to dream big and exercise patience.
To enhance her focus and productivity, Nuzhat emphasized the importance of self-care, taking breaks to recharge. She shared her experiences of moving from Suva to Lautoka, describing it as a significant adjustment that brought feelings of loneliness, especially as an only child missing her siblings’ support.
Despite the challenges she faced, including the pressures of academic life, Nuzhat found strength in resilience and perseverance: “Each challenge has shaped me, teaching me the importance of pushing through even when the journey feels overwhelming.” Her story serves as a beacon of hope for many, inspiring students everywhere to overcome their obstacles and thrive in their pursuits.
