Tasweed Zunar Ali, motivated by his father’s dedication to their family dairy farm, has pursued his dream of being a dairy farmer despite societal expectations. Following his father’s death in 2021, he took over the farm, successfully increasing the herd from 20 to 60 cows and generating an average of 230 liters of milk each day for Fiji Dairy Limited.
Despite challenges such as dog attacks and unfavorable weather conditions, Tasweed has benefitted from the support of the Agriculture Ministry and the Dairy Extension Programme, which have helped enhance pasture management and feeding practices. He urges young individuals interested in farming to follow their passion, focus on cleanliness and animal welfare, and find satisfaction in their work.
