Balancing her studies while caring for her family has been challenging, but she credits the unwavering support of her family and friends for helping her navigate this demanding journey. “I can’t express how grateful I am for the strong family support I’ve had throughout this journey, especially my close circle of friends who have morally supported me during some of my toughest moments,” she shared.

With particular gratitude towards her mother and siblings, Ms. Goundar noted how their assistance with her children during exams and study sessions was vital to her success. Her passion for working with newborns, coupled with hands-on experiences with skilled nurses and doctors in her field, has fueled her ambition to excel in midwifery. “I learned the importance of caring not just for the babies, but also for the mothers. That’s what kept me motivated to continue my studies,” she explained.
