Nilesh Karan, a 47-year-old senior loan officer for the Sugar Cane Growers Fund (SCGF), is embarking on a new journey as a legal practitioner after earning his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Fiji last month.
Karan’s decision to pursue a career in law stems from his previous experience in the legal field, particularly in Civil and Litigation matters. Over the past nineteen years at SCGF and prior positions in various law firms and Carpenter Finance, he has accumulated valuable insights that will undoubtedly benefit his future endeavors in law.
Balancing his studies with work and family duties was a significant challenge for Karan, taking him seven years to complete his degree while working as a student.
