Growing up in the remote village of Malaita Province, Dolarii faced significant challenges, noting, “Where I come from, we didn’t have flip-flops or umbrellas. We used banana leaves for shelter during the rain.” Despite these hardships, he remained determined to seek education as a way to uplift his family and community.

His journey began when he graduated from high school in 2007, which paved the way for his enrollment at The University of the South Pacific (USP) in 2008. With the recent opening of a new state-of-the-art campus at King George, Dolarii expressed immense pride, stating that it signifies a new era for education in the Solomon Islands. His enthusiasm extends to the alumni community, many of whom are planning to return to USP and further their studies, motivated by the high-quality resources now available.
