Faith over Fear is the mantra that guided Halima Josephine Ingivald, the head girl of Sacred Heart College and recipient of a religious award, throughout her five-year high school experience. The 19-year-old reflects on her modest upbringing in an average-income family, which she believes has shaped her appreciation for life’s blessings.
Ingivald shared, “I come from an average income family, where I learned to appreciate what you have,” pointing out that despite financial challenges, her parents always strived to provide their three children with the best opportunities. This journey has instilled in her a sense of humility, emphasizing the importance of understanding one’s limitations and pursuing achievable goals.
Looking ahead, Ingivald plans to study for a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management next year, aspiring to make her mark in the business world. “I have always dreamt of becoming a respected officer in the business management area. I’m determined and focused,” she stated confidently.
In her message to young people, Ingivald urges others to prioritize education and avoid drugs, highlighting the potential they have to create a positive future for themselves.
