Venice Traill, a Taekwondo athlete representing Team Fiji, was defeated by world number 3 Rebecca McGowan from Great Britain during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Despite the setback, Traill feels a sense of pride in being one of the first two athletes to represent Fiji in Taekwondo at the Olympic Games. In an emotional interview, the 27-year-old announced that this would be her only Olympic participation, as she plans to transition into coaching to support and guide young athletes aspiring to reach the Olympics.

Traill expressed her gratitude towards her family and teammates for their unwavering support throughout her Olympic journey.
