Tasweed Zunar Ali, influenced by his father’s dedication to their family dairy farm, has followed his dream of becoming a dairy farmer despite societal challenges. After his father’s death in 2021, he took over the farm and successfully increased the herd from 20 to 60 cows, yielding an average of 230 liters of milk daily for Fiji Dairy Limited.
Tasweed has encountered obstacles, including dog attacks and adverse weather conditions, but has benefited from the support of the Agriculture Ministry and the Dairy Extension Programme, which have enhanced his pasture management and feeding strategies. He motivates fellow aspiring farmers to pursue their passion for agriculture, focus on hygiene and animal welfare, and find joy in their work.
