Tagimoucia Ranadi’s rugby team has showcased remarkable resilience and improvement following a tough 19-0 loss to the Lilian Amazon at the Wairiki Sevens tournament just two weeks prior. The Nadi-based team concluded their 2024 season on a celebratory note by clinching victory in the women’s division at the 31st R.C Manubhai Nataleira Sevens held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. They triumphed over Sinukakala Amazon with a score of 19-5 in the cup final.
Manageress Ana Rabuka expressed her pride in the team and their performance, highlighting the dedication of both the coaching staff and players. She is optimistic about maintaining this momentum as they prepare for the Coral Coast 7s tournament next month. “Hat’s off to the head coach and players; all their sacrifices have paid off,” Rabuka emphasized.
With limited time for a holiday break, Rabuka mentioned that the team would return to training immediately after spending a brief moment with their families. She commended her players for their excellent teamwork, stressing the importance of unity and love on the field. “We have to have love and unity in spirit to get the job done,” she noted, dedicating the win to her husband, Craig Howell, a steadfast supporter of Tagimoucia rugby.
Rabuka highlighted that discipline has been a key factor in their recent successes. “I’m just super proud of my girls and how far they have come,” she stated.
This victory not only marks a significant achievement for Tagimoucia Ranadi but also serves as a testament to the power of perseverance and teamwork in sports. Looking ahead, the team’s dedication and commitment give them a promising outlook for their upcoming challenges.
In summary, the Tagimoucia Ranadi team has turned their previous setback into a strong comeback, showcasing their abilities and teamwork, which fosters hope for future competitions.
