After experiencing a tough 19-0 defeat against the Lilian Amazon at the Wairiki sevens tournament, the Tagimoucia Ranadi team was driven to enhance their performance during their recent competition. The Nadi-based squad concluded their 2024 season with a triumphant win in the women’s division of the 31st R.C. Manubhai Nataleira sevens held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. They secured the championship by defeating the Sinukakala Amazon with a score of 19-5 in the cup final.
Manageress Ana Rabuka commended both the players and the management for their efforts and expressed hope that the team will sustain their stellar performance as they prepare for the upcoming Coral Coast 7s next month. “Kudos to the head coach and players; their sacrifices have truly paid off,” she stated. She shared that the team will not take a full break during the Christmas and New Year period, instead opting for a brief time with family before recommitting to training for the Coral Coast 7s tournament.
Rabuka highlighted the remarkable teamwork exhibited by her players during the matches and emphasized the importance of unity and love in achieving their goals. She also dedicated the recent victory to her husband, Craig Howell, a steadfast supporter of Tagimoucia rugby. Discipline, according to Rabuka, has been a pivotal factor in their performance during the recent tournaments. “I am incredibly proud of my girls and the progress they have made,” she concluded.
This inspiring turnaround illustrates the resilience and determination of the Tagimoucia Ranadi team, showing that setbacks can serve as powerful motivation for improvement and success. With continued dedication and teamwork, their future in the Coral Coast 7s could be equally bright.
