Adi Akisi Ravoka is committed to advancing her education to realize her aspirations. The 28-year-old from Drauniivi Village in Ra celebrated her graduation with a Certificate in Automotive Mechanical Engineering from the Pacific Polytech Campus in Tagitagi, Tavua, where she was one of 130 graduates marking an important milestone in her academic journey.
As a mother of three, Ravoka is currently serving as an attache at the Yaqara Pastoral Company in Tavua. Reflecting on her journey, she noted that this qualification serves as a crucial stepping stone towards a brighter future. Ravoka shared that her childhood dream was to become a teacher, but she faced significant challenges along the way. Despite the obstacles, her determination never wavered.
“Education has opened doors of opportunity for me,” she said, emphasizing that the skills and knowledge acquired will enable her to make meaningful contributions in any workplace. Ravoka has plans to continue her education in this field and aspires to teach automotive engineering at a prestigious institution, where she hopes to inspire the next generation.
Discussing her struggles, she mentioned the difficulty of balancing work, family responsibilities, and studies, particularly in light of financial constraints. “There were times I missed classes due to financial difficulties, but I never gave up,” she acknowledged.
Ravoka expresses gratitude for her accomplishments, crediting her success to her faith, her grandmother, and her children. “I dedicate this achievement to my grandmother and my children,” she said passionately. Her encouragement extends to other single mothers, urging them not to let their circumstances dictate their futures. “There is a bright future ahead for you and your children.
