Outgoing FRU Trustees, including Peter Mazey, Jenny Setto, Sikeli Tuinamuana, Alipate Naiorosui, and Mosese Naivalu, expressed pride in the achievements during their term and warmly welcomed the new leadership. During their tenure, they focused on addressing past challenges, engaging with stakeholders, and establishing a strong foundation for the future of rugby in Fiji.

Interim Chair Peter Mazey emphasized the importance of proactivity and stakeholder engagement. “We have been proactive by listening to our players, unions, stakeholders, politicians, and critics,” he stated. He is optimistic about the groundwork laid down for a promising future in Fiji rugby, expressing excitement for what the new board will introduce.

As the FRU enters this new chapter, there is a collective commitment to create a legacy that future generations of Fijian rugby players and fans can cherish. With a deep-rooted passion for the sport, there’s every reason to believe that rugby will continue to flourish in Fiji.

This transition marks a hopeful new beginning for rugby in Fiji, as new leadership can inspire fresh energy and innovation in the sport. The dedication shown by both past and present board members reinforces the community’s commitment to excellence in rugby.
