The FIJI Water Flying Fijians will miss several experienced players in the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup, paving the way for six new talents to join the squad. Among the notable absences are Waisea Nayacalevu, Semi Radradra, Levani Botia, Peniasi Dakuwaqa, and Josua Tuisova. Head Coach Mick Byrne has communicated with the younger players and highlighted the significance of remaining authentic.
“The message to all our young players is to enjoy the selection and be who they are. They don’t have to come in and do anything special now that they’ve joined the Flying Fijians,” Byrne stated. He noted that while these newcomers are expected to energize the team, it is crucial for them to stay calm and not place excessive pressure on themselves to deliver outstanding performances.
