The FIJI Water Flying Fijians will be missing several key players during the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup 2024, allowing six new talents to join the team. Noteworthy absences include Waisea Nayacalevu, Semi Radradra, Levani Botia, Peniasi Dakuwaqa, and Josua Tuisova.
Head Coach Mick Byrne stated that he has engaged with the young players and highlighted the significance of authenticity. “The message to all our young players is to enjoy the selection and be who they are. They don’t have to come in and do anything special now that they’ve joined the Flying Fijians,” Byrne commented.
He also noted that while these newcomers are expected to inject energy into the squad, it is essential for them to remain calm and not to overburden themselves with performance expectations.
