The FIJI Water Flying Fijians will be missing several key players during the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup, opening up opportunities for six new talents in the squad.
Prominent players such as Waisea Nayacalevu, Semi Radradra, Levani Botia, Peniasi Dakuwaqa, and Josua Tuisova will not be participating.
Head Coach Mick Byrne has communicated with the young talents, stressing the significance of being authentic.
“The message to all our young players is to enjoy the selection and be who they are. They don’t have to come in and do anything special now that they’ve joined the Flying Fijians,” Byrne stated.
He also highlighted that while the newcomers will inject energy into the team, it is crucial for them to remain relaxed and not feel an overwhelming pressure to excel.
