The FIJI Water Flying Fijians will be missing several key players for the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup, allowing six newcomers to join the squad.
Prominent players such as Waisea Nayacalevu, Semi Radradra, Levani Botia, Peniasi Dakuwaqa, and Josua Tuisova will not be part of this tournament.
Head Coach Mick Byrne has communicated with the young players, highlighting the significance of being authentic.
“The message to all our young players is to enjoy the selection and be who they are. They don’t have to come in and do anything special now that they’ve joined the Flying Fijians,” Byrne stated.
He also noted that while these newcomers will inject energy into the team, it’s crucial for them to remain composed and not feel overly pressured to deliver outstanding performances.
