Starting his football journey at the tender age of five, Desprez was inspired by his parents who frequently watched matches on television. His early years saw him playing with friends in his local community and later with a local club until he was thirteen. His dedication and talent led him to the Racing Club de Lens youth academy, where he honed his skills for eight years before signing his first professional contract.
Reflecting on his early passion for soccer, Desprez stated, “I started playing football because my parents watched all the matches on television and I often played with my friends. What I loved was the emotion that football could evoke, but also everything surrounding football… the jerseys, the photos, all the football-related things thrilled me.”
As his career progressed, he gained valuable experience through loan spells, including one with JA Drancy in France’s third division. Desprez later joined Paris FC, where he had a notable six-month stint before moving to Belgian first-division side RCSC Charleroi. His subsequent two seasons at F91 Dudelange in Luxembourg’s top division saw him consistently on the pitch, even participating in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
On the international stage, Desprez’s talent has been recognized as he represented France at various youth levels, from U15 to U20, which included participation in one FIFA Youth World Cup and two UEFA European Championships.
