The New England Free Jacks have announced the signing of Fijian Drua prop Jone Koroiduadua. The club made the announcement in a statement last Friday, emphasizing that Koroiduadua will significantly enhance their front row as they look to build on their recent achievements in Major League Rugby (MLR).

At 25 years old, the native of Nalebaleba, Nadroga has been with the Drua since its inaugural season in 2022, following two years spent at Clermont in the French Top 14. He also featured for the Drua in 2019.

In their statement, the Free Jacks highlighted Koroiduadua as one of Fiji’s most promising talents, adding that he will bring a remarkable level of power and physicality to the team’s front row. With over 20 appearances for the Fijian Drua across three seasons of Super Rugby Pacific, Koroiduadua has also earned international caps with the Flying Fijians, including a selection for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Additionally, he has played for Nadroga in the Skipper Cup and has represented the national Under-20 team. The club noted that Koroiduadua is known as a destructive scrummager and was crucial in the Drua’s scrum quality during the previous Super Rugby Pacific season. Weighing 255 pounds, his reputation as a powerful athlete makes him a vital asset for the Free Jacks’ forward pack.

The Free Jacks have also made another international signing for the season, bringing on New Zealand lock Sam Caird.
