The Home Affairs Ministry will fund bus services in the North for the Fiji Day celebrations taking place in Labasa tomorrow, according to Samuela Ligairi, the special administrator of the Labasa Town Council.

Ligairi announced that the bus service will cater to residents of Savusavu, Nabouwalu, and Dogotuki, with three buses designated for Nabouwalu and Savusavu, and one for Dogotuki.

“This initiative aims to ensure that everyone can participate in the celebrations without transport concerns,” he stated. He also mentioned that regular bus services in Labasa will continue as usual.

“The bus operators in the North have assured us of their support, as we want to encourage large attendance at the event,” Ligairi added.

Buses are scheduled to depart from three different locations at 6 a.m.
