FRCS Faces Showdown with FPSA Members

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) is addressing concerns related to members of the Fiji Public Service Association (FPSA) working within FRCS.

The FPSA has arranged a meeting today with its 350 employees to discuss a deadlock with FRCS management, which may lead to potential industrial action.

“A proposal on the matter noted by the FPSA was sent to the board of directors for their consideration early last week,” said FRCS CEO Udit Singh. “The board of directors has sent through a few questions for which the management team is currently preparing responses.”

FPSA Secretary General Judith Kotobalavu stated that they would no longer tolerate the “delaying tactics” by FRCS. “We will also be writing to the board of directors to seek a meeting with them and discuss our grievances directly,” she added.
