Former Post Fiji CEO to be Sentenced Tomorrow: What Led to His Court Appearance?

Former Post Fiji CEO Anirudha Bansod is set to be sentenced by the Suva Magistrate’s Court tomorrow. Bansod appeared before Resident Magistrate Talei Kean yesterday.

The case was called at 9:30 AM, but Bansod was initially absent, resulting in a bench warrant being issued. He later appeared with his counsel, Davenesh Sharma, leading to the cancellation of the bench warrant. According to Mr. Sharma, Bansod had traveled from Lautoka.

The sentencing is scheduled for 10 AM.

Bansod, who initially faced charges of abuse of office and general dishonesty causing a loss, pleaded guilty to a single amended charge of abuse of office.
