Former players will showcase their skills during the RC Manubhai/Apco Coatings International Veteran’s tournament, which will coincide with the Rooster Chicken/Scoop Ice Cream Battle of the Giants Tournament. The event is scheduled for 1-4 August and will take place at the Fiji FA Academy Grounds in Vatuwaqa and the HFC Stadium in Suva.
According to Fiji FA Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf, the tournament will include two categories: over 40 grades and over 45 grades. Players born on or before December 31, 1984, are eligible for the over 40 categories, while those born on or before December 31, 1979, can compete in the over 45 categories. Players born in 1985 and 1980 will not qualify for these categories.
Interested teams must submit their completed application forms, including player registration forms, to Fiji FA by 21 July. All applications must be in the prescribed form and endorsed by the respective district association. This requirement also applies to overseas teams, which will need endorsements from legitimate Fijian National Associations such as NZFFI, AUFFI, and FSCUSA.
