The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has dropped charges against former Fiji Link CEO Shaenaz Voss concerning her alleged noncompliance with the operator’s airline security program. This was confirmed by defense attorney Gul Fatima. The case was presented before Resident Magistrate Samanunu Vaniqi at the Nausori Magistrates Court. Voss had faced charges related to the unlawful transport of firearms on a flight from Nausori to Labasa Airport in 2018, involving bodyguards of former Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum who were reportedly carrying firearms on the Fiji Link flight. Assistant DPP Laisani Tabuakuro represented the Office of the DPP in the proceedings.
