Shaenaz Voss, the former chief customer services officer of Fiji Airways, has concluded her legal ordeal. The Nausori Magistrate’s Court discharged her yesterday after the charges against her were officially withdrawn.

Voss faced a charge last year concerning the unlawful carriage of firearms on a domestic flight. It was alleged by the State that on October 8, 2018, at Nausori Airport, she did not adhere to the Fiji Link Operation Airline Security Program while on board domestic flight FJ 32.

During the court proceedings, Assistant Acting Director of Public Prosecutions Laisani Tabuakuro indicated that the prosecution would not pursue the case further, leading to the withdrawal of the charges. Magistrate Samanunu Vaniqi granted the discharge.

Following this development, Voss is set to have her $5,000 bail bond returned, her passport released, and a stop-departure order lifted.
