Former Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is currently being questioned at the Criminal Investigation Department in Toorak, Suva. Sayed-Khaiyum arrived with his counsel Davenesh Sharma and Gul Fatima within the last hour. Assistant Commissioner of Police – Crime Mesake Waqa confirmed that Sayed-Khaiyum is being questioned regarding allegations of abuse of office during his tenure as Minister for Aviation and Attorney General from 2018 to 2022.
