Football Icon Luke Wilkshire Set to Shine at Fiji FA Awards Night 2024!

Australian football icon Luke Wilkshire will serve as the chief guest at the Extra Supermarket Fiji FA Awards Night 2024, which is set to take place on December 1 at the Crowne Plaza in Nadi. Wilkshire, who has an impressive record of 80 international caps and eight goals for the Australian national team, is well-known for his contributions to football, having played in two FIFA World Cups (2006 and 2010), and being a part of the squad that won the AFC Asian Cup in 2015. He also represented Australia at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Fiji FA Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf expressed his enthusiasm for Wilkshire’s attendance, noting it as a significant honor for the Fiji football community. Yusuf stated, “It’s an honor and privilege to have a FIFA Legend like Wilkshire grace the event. During his visit, Wilkshire will be accompanied by his wife and will engage in several activities including attending the Flick Hygiene Pacific Cup matches at Churchill Park in Lautoka and visiting the Fiji Ba Academy. The Extra Supermarket Fiji FA Awards Night, returning after a three-year hiatus, promises to be a memorable occasion celebrating the achievements and contributions in Fijian football.
