The Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup recently wrapped up at Churchill Park in Lautoka, attracting football enthusiasts and athletes from all over Fiji. The tournament featured exciting matches and highlighted remarkable football talent.

The champions of the tournament, the NZFFI Auckland All-Stars, made a significant contribution beyond the pitch by visiting the Nadi Center for Special Education. As part of their outreach, they donated soccer balls to students and committed $1,500 to support the 2025 Back to School Stationery initiative.

In a display of continued generosity, Narend Narayan, Chairman of the America Fiji Sports Commission, donated $5,000 to WOWS Kids, an organization that supports children facing cancer. Narayan’s long-standing commitment to philanthropy reflects his dedication to enhancing the lives of vulnerable children.

Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel expressed sincere appreciation for the philanthropic efforts from both teams. He noted, “Their support extends beyond football, touching the lives of those in need and showcasing the true spirit of this tournament.” Additionally, Patel announced that Fiji FA will continue to back WOWS Kids by allocating funds from ticket sales. “A dollar from every ticket sold over the four days of the tournament will go to WOW Kids,” he shared. Fiji FA has already contributed over $60,000 towards its social responsibility initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to making a positive impact.

This tournament not only brought together local football talent but also served as a reminder of the power of sports to unite and uplift communities. The generous acts of goodwill from both the NZFFI Auckland All-Stars and Narend Narayan highlight the importance of giving back and supporting those in need, fostering hope for a brighter future for children in Fiji.
