FMF Group is intensifying its commitment to promote cleaner transportation in Fiji through its Electric Vehicle (EV) initiative. Recently, the company concluded a week-long training program focused on electric vehicles that aimed to enhance local skills and reinforce its drive towards sustainable mobility across the Pacific.
The training, conducted in collaboration with the China Intelligent Electric Vehicle (CIEV) and led by automotive expert Leon, covered various aspects of EV technology, marketing, after-sales service, and technical specifications. With over two decades of experience in the Chinese automotive industry, Leon emphasized the potential that exists when technology and policy align to support electric transport. He remarked that FMF’s determination is a strong indicator of the Pacific region’s readiness to embrace electric mobility.
FMF Managing Director and CEO Sanjay Punja acknowledged the importance of the training, stating it empowered staff with the necessary technical knowledge and a global viewpoint to further the FMF EV initiative. This effort aligns with Fiji’s national objectives to reduce emissions and foster a low-carbon economy, showcasing FMF Group’s dedication to sustainable innovation in the region.
