FMF Foods Limited is proudly serving as the gold sponsor for the Leadership Fiji Cohort 2025 (LF2024) initiative, which is designed to improve the wellbeing of healthcare professionals at St Giles Psychiatric Hospital.
Under the leadership of Losalini Nalawa, the LF2024 Team has embarked on a project that includes the construction of a recreational bure and wellbeing spaces, as well as enhancements in lighting, seating, and landscaping. FMF emphasized that these improvements aim to create a safe, calming, and restorative environment for the dedicated staff at St Giles Psychiatric Hospital.
“This initiative is truly a labor of love,” FMF stated, commending the LF2024 members for their tireless efforts to transform this concept into reality. The team has successfully managed to develop the center amidst challenging circumstances, including persistent rain, difficult site conditions, and the ongoing constraints related to the availability and delivery of raw materials.
To ensure the project’s successful completion, the LF2024 Team reached out to over 100 companies for sponsorships and fundraising support. Their collective efforts are a testament to leadership in action, rooted in service, resilience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing community wellbeing.
This project represents a significant investment in the mental health and resilience of healthcare workers who routinely face intense pressures. By establishing a dedicated space for rest and reflection, the initiative acknowledges the vital importance of supporting those who care for Fiji’s most vulnerable populations.
FMF, guided by its vision of giving back to the community and fostering a stronger and more resilient Fiji, expressed honor in standing alongside other professionals from various industries who share the common goal of supporting caregivers. This partnership showcases an inspiring commitment to improving the lives of those who dedicate themselves to the care of others.
